How did you go, have you ended up buying the album yet? Be interested to know your thoughts when you get it! A few other `electronic friends' on the Archives I've discussed it with were rather disappointed with it as well, so it would be good if you come back with `I liked it much more!'

Have you heard Erik Wollo's `Blue Radiance'? I think that is a seriously good one, nice mix of melodic and atmospheric.

Also Michael Brückner and Mathias Brüssel's collobration `Live at Cosmic Nights Festival 2015' is very hypnotic and immersive. Not the most approachable of electronic releases, but hugely satisfying if you have the patience to really commit to it!

Late 70s french is the best. I can't listen to music without drums so don't really bother with tangerine
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Hey, that's great to hear, Melotron98! I seem to be the only you on the Archives who has enjoyed it so much!

I read only a week or so ago that a second album is on its way over the next couple of months, so I"m very excited for that! I think there was a partial vinyl release of that first album as well a few months back too.

Kraftwerk - first two albums are groundbraking electronic prog/krautrock (eventhough not very listenable) - same goes for Cluster. Later Kraftwerk is boring techno pop imo.

I'm not much interested in electronic music and sound compositions anymore but I still like some more melodic and acoustic stuff of Vangelis.

Hi. This is not less amazing than Jean Michel Jarre for example. It's just more repetative and with lame vocals. Sorry, just my opinion.

Wow....how on earth did this slip past me?
I did something I never do when it comes to artists that I really dig, and that was to sample the one tune that's on offer (I tend to wait for the album release because I want to be surprised). I simply love how it sounds - motorik groove with plenty of electronics and those beautiful light shafts of mellotron. Yep I'm definitely hooked.

LOL Yup it's been a while sorry.........but no I haven't. Truth be told - I only have their 70s releases, everything from the debut up to and including the Zombi soundtrack. 

Speaking of Italians; this, the most recent album in Franco Battiato's oevre, is fast becoming my favourite modern electronic album.......and made by a man who hasn't fiddled about with the style since 1974.
The whole album is like slipping into a bath of clouds and crystal steam:

Consider this a small request to Zombi or indeed Steve Moore to make more music in the vein of the following two tunes. There's a groove in there that I really really dig, and a simple almost childish melody line attached to it that stays with me even after the tune is over.
