Also, ever since my parents were arguing, I've never really talked to them much and become somewhat distant.

Maybe that is why I don't talk to my parents much, but I don't talk to anyone much so maybe it is some other reason. I hate being able to relate to Shinji.

Maybe it is because your parents had argued a lot that you had become less willing to talk to people (like me).

Ture, I can relate to those feels and I think we all need beautiful Korean pop stars to rub their wiggly butts in our faces (possible cure for depression?)
I was just naturally an isolated person and become over critical of myself because I was bad at making friends. A therapist I saw also mentioned that being smart complicates things, enhancing my imaginative self-defeating thoughts and attitude. sh*t sucks bro. I give you many hugs.
