ED ALLEYNE-JOHNSON      Ed's main claim to fame is having once been a member of New Model Army, but with Cromwellian aspirations of going his own way in life, Ed stepped out of the shadows after the NMA's recording of The Love of Hopeless Causes in 1983, embarking on a solo career of busking and recording with his homemade purple electric violin. As well as writing much of his own material, Ed has recorded many amazing cover versions of songs we all know and love, giving them all his own inimitable twist.
