That reminds me, a former PAer showed me a punk band a few days ago called G.L.O.S.S. (Girls Living Outside Society's sh*t)

^ Besides you'd be squirming in your seat like a nine year-old with your parents asking is it over yet.

Quite a bit of interesting classical music out there, especially if you dare to venture beyond the scope of the long dead cliches.

How about the recent discrimination case in Illinois in regards to the trans girl who was forced to use private changing/shower facilities? Here's an article

Thats so sad. Here in Brazil is common to transgender people to develop blatter issues and infections, because they avoid public bathrooms just because of the prejudice.

Hm, I must say I would not want her to be in a shower with me. No matter how much she feels like a woman, the body is still the body of a man, and I would feel intimidated if she was in a shower with me.

How about the gloriously imbecile state of Texas (well, Houston really) voting against a no-discrimination ordinance? And if you had seen some of the anti-ordinance ads, instilling fear on parents with images of men walking on little girls' bathrooms, you would be quite upset.

Again, it's Texas.

I don't quite get it. Non-discrimination in what regard? All people using the same facilities, regardless of gender?

No. Even more open. Just no-discrimination for anything in Houston. Based on religion, gender, orientation, race, etc. But the Republicans used this fear I mentioned to have people vote against it. Unbelievable.

I would draw the line there somewhere. I would not want a man showering with me in the same room st the same time, and I think a lot of women would feel the same.

Interestingly I have no problem with being on a nude beach with men present. But a shower room feels more intimate for me.

Sadly it's not the only place that boogeyman is used. Pretty recently I saw an article aobut fearmongering ads concerning "boys being able to look at your daughter in the bathroom" or something to that effect being used in a place I can't remember off the top of my head.

I failed to mention that they used transgender people using bathrooms as a way to scare voters into voting against this ordinance.
