Hell yes! I preordered their album a little bit ago. I love Cynic, I love Textures, and I love both instrumental and fusion metal so what's not going to be good about this?

there is a pronounced jazz/improv element to it- where the bass is audible and plays an important role.  ClapGuitar-wise, there are obvious nods to Allan Holdsworth and overall fusion greatness.  This is going to kick my ass!  Every bit worth the price if you ask me.  I just know it will be light years beyond the majority of heavy music!

Now we're on the fusion subject, I'm gonna throw Aghora out into this thread. Forgive me if they've already been touched upon, but I haven't visited this place in long time... It's actually a scientific law that anything including Sean Reinert is astounding. I mean come on, the guy is in Cynic, performed on Human, Aghora, Aeon Spoke... On top of that he's out of this world on a drumming plane. Any idea why he isn't as celebrated as say... Mike Portnoy?

I like the first Aghora....the second one bores me to tears... BUT I think Reinert is leagues beyond Portnoy as a drummer.  But I am not much of a (d)Ream Theater fan...

for more heavy fusion stuff, check out 7for4, they have Wolfgang Zenk (who was on the excellent album by Sieges Even "Sophisticated" and is an absolute shredder)....a favorite guitarist of mine....featuring an excellent backing band!

They're also selling a package it seems, with Negura Bunget's OM (which I already own on vinyl) and my shirt:

I canīt say that they got any extra plusses in my book after I saw them live on the 27th of April in Copenhagen. A very weak performance. They really bored the sh*t out of me. Very disappointing. I still like their studio albums though and fully understand the praise they receive.

I preferred The Way of All Flesh as well. It has something, not entirely sure what that I think the previous album lacked.
Also, very good video posted above btw.
