The Who Sell Out. Don't ask me why, it's just the one the really clicked for me.
I love I Can See For Miles from The Who Sell Out at most; the one of the best songs of 60s without of question.
Well, all you guys who love The Who Sell Out that would enjoy in Who's For Tennis?, the album who was completed and supposed to be released between The Who Sell Out and Tommy but it was shelved in 1968. This is fully reconstruction by the fan.

Fave Who album of all time "Who's Next". I recently bought the super deluxe edition of "Tommy", can't believe the album is over 44 years old. Amazing music

I have some of those songs on other lp's and on Odds And Sods, but there are several there I have never heard.
Are they on a collection somewhere..?

Tommy and Who's next, in this same order. Anyway, never heard too much from the other albums. Quadrophenia is also nice. I don't like "My generation" and stuff.

Just a side comment but I have never really thought The Who were proto or prog related...feel the same way about Zep. IMHo they are both classic rock all the way.

I recommend this
This is some of Pete Townshend's solo stuff, also worthy to hear imo
