Well I don't know much about Pitchfork, really, but this example proves the contrary Tongue

Yeah...

I'm going to have to agree with Henry on this one. Pitchfork is too elitist for me most of the time.

Beyond unspectacular.

I know, it's amazingly normal.

Koenjihyakkei + metal + symphonic = Ars Nova.
Is there a subtraction from Koenji of very annoying vocals, because I didn't seem to notice any with Ars Nova?

On the contrary, yours is the elitist position. Wink

This band, The Great Tyrant, might be of some interest to RIO/Avant/Zeuhl fans.  It consists of two members of the band Yeti.  They have a full length album due out early this year. You can check out some of their music on their MySpace page. http://www.myspace.com/thegreattyrant  Shub Niggurath is listed as one of their top influences along with the Art Bears.

It would be tough. That's a good question though.

And I will have to check those samples out, Scott. Thanks! Smile

I only have Of Natural History, and I haven't heard it in awhile. I wasn't terribly impressed with it.

They grew on me.  My first listen I was totally *gasped*, but a couple of months later I sat down and listened to them and I really enjoyed it.  It was kind of weird.

Well, I'm in a fairly avant mood right now, so I might try to pull that album out and listen to it after UZ.

I didn't gasp at the music (yet), but at the thought that I'll listen, later.
