I came very close to playing PFM Cook today. Held the record in my hands. I’ll take this as a sign that I must play it tomorrow.

A few for the last couple of days:

Shylock – Gialorgues (1976) – dark symphonic stunner, always sounds like an influence on Anglagard to my ears

Incantations – Mike Oldfield (1978) – I was in a bad mood with nightshift crankiness, the endless prettiness of this did my head in

Saga – s/t (1978)

Terpandre – s/t (1978) – a romantic instrumental Mellotron-dominated classic that’s always a beautiful listen. Every home should have one!

Ozric Tentacles – Swirly Termination (2000)

Psycho Praxis – Echoes from the Deep (2012) – always a great modern Italian disc (despite the English language vocals, it still has that comparably wilder proper RPI tone), where’s that follow-up?!

Yugen – Mirrors (2012)
Porcupine Tree – Closure/Continuum (2022)

Hello gentlemen, been a few days, here's my scattered selections from that time:

David Gilmour – s/t (1978)
Tangerine Dream – Live at the Dominion Theatre 1982 (1982/2020)
Solaris – Marsbeli Kronikak (Martian Chronicles) (1983)
Queen – The Works (1984)
Spiritualized – Laser Guided Melodies (1992)

The Windmill – The Continuation (2013) – random dig out from the collection of a charming Norwegian symphonic LP from about a decade ago, haven’t spun it in nearly that entire time. Second track `The Masque’ especially is terrific

Poseidotica – El Dilema del Origen (2015) - cool modern heavy psych/prog instrumental band from Argentina
