Today has been a day dedicated to OUT OF FOCUS. I've listened to all five of their albums exclusively--even took my midday nap with some excited anticipation of really diving deeply into all of the material recorded for the sessions that resulted in the release of the 1972 masterpiece, Four Letter Monday Afternoon. Great stuff!  A very happy day!

Nataraja - Spirit At Play

Great release from this UK jazz fusion band that is not on P.A. featuring Andy Edwards and John Jowitt. Apparently Andy left the band so at this point it's unclear if the they will continue. https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/nataraja-1

I recommend it with the caveat that you don't mind indian sounding music. The second half is mostly indian sounding stuff with sitar.

Midnight Oil - Diesel and Dust

My brother had this a long time ago so I remember playing his copy. It's such a great album and probably one of my favorites from the 80s. I just bought it recently on cd so I'm playing it now for the first time in many moons. Speaking of which earth and sun and moon is very good too.

Caravan If I Could Do It All Over Again, Id Do It All Over You album cover

Caravan - If I Could Do It All Over Again I'd Do It All Over You

I first saw this cover (and heard of the band) in a rock encylcopedia book about 39 years ago but right now I'm listening to it for the very first time! Tongue

That album is where they found their sound imo. This going through Plump consists a successful run of quality albums, again imo. Yes, even Waterloo. I love the cover too - it's mystical and lends itself to the music.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson
