I just heard that Medina Cantalejo will be the referee for Brazil-France. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?! AngryAngryAngry That guy, besides his bad reputation and his queery way of "making his duty",made a mockery final out of the Italy-Australia game. Personally,I don't think this referee should be anywhere near the important final games of the World Cup.

I just have shivers when I think of what a desaster that appetizing game could have.

I agree with you Ricochet.

The quicker the France will loose, the sooner i'll hear less about football.

I just consider that it's a bunch of primates millionaires running after a ball.

Halftime Germany-Argentina:
What an awful defensive attitude by the Germans, if you shout that you will be the new World Champions, you should show the world some quality instead of kicking the ball blind to the other box (at least 20 times I counted!) and keeping 9-10 players behind the ball. This has nothing to do with 'hating the Germans' as BebieM said but I can't stand that this kind of negative, predator like football (waiting on faults by the other team) will be rewarded. I am afraid that it will because Argentina keeps too many players out of the box. Argentina should play more forward and change that spoiled child Riguelme with Messi!

I thought that the German defensive play was good but ultimately they were too cautious going forward.
Argentina for all their possession and skill on the ball have created nothing.

1-1, as I said Argentina have to blame theirselves because this weak German team was on the brink of destruction, why no Messi ...?

Now, Im going to go suffer for 30 minutes.

No Messi, No Crespo, No Riquelme ... how are we gonna attack?

And not to forget: we have a keeper I've never heard about.

Argentina allowed the Germans to come back into the game and now the German spirit will pay off, I am very disappointed about this Argentine team .... Cry .. and I have to give credit to the Germans, they seem to be more interested in playing forward than Argentina ...

Germany looked the stronger for most of the 1st period of ET.However,Ballack's injury could be crucial and the disappointing Argentinians could finish strongly.

I was impressed by the way that Germany knuckled down to the job after they went 1-0 down, but why so cautious initially?

Ok,Penalties!!

Neither team has ever lost a WC penalty shoot out..until now.

Kudo to Ballack for carrying on and still finding the magical pass, but surely he wont take a penalty, will he?
