Not right now, but in 9 hours Jean and I will watch an episode of "Inspector Barnaby", a British detective series with a lot of black humor. In the episode we will be watching a man is found murdered, but shortly after the police start their investigation his corpse is stolen and the body of his childhood nurse who died years ago is removed from the grave.

Jean and I love the series. Each episode is 90 minutes long so it is a full movie. The characters are all a bit eccentric, including the inspector. His wife comes up with a new hobby in each episode - yoga, fitness training, pottery and others - and she always tries to get her husband involved as well (and he always concedes reluctantly).

There are two minor drawbacks. One is that German TV broadcasts a synchronized version while we would of course prefer to see the English version. The other is that in England the series was broadcast with commercial breaks. German TV broadcasts them without these breaks but you can always tell where they have been. But these drawbacks don't spoil the fun at all.

Over here in Blighty, it was called Midsomer Murders, so called because it was based in the fictional town of Midsomer, I believe in Oxfordshire.

If recreated in real life, Midsomer would be the ideal place to solve the country's housing crisis. A murder every five minutes (it has been going a long time) sending house prices plummeting
