Why would anybody add anybody else on last.fm? A last.fm friendship is one of the most meaningless connections a person can have on the internet. Even Twitter is closer because you have to actually see the crap that a person on Twitter is doing.

I think our compatibility was medium only.

The last.fm GUI is horrid though.  The only way to find out if you have a friend request is looking under the friends tab.  I realise that may sound like the perfect solution but it's not.  I rarely look on the friends tab.  I'd much rather have a notification pop up somehow.

I know you already. What I was saying is that James shouldn't be surprised that she adds random people or maybe doesn't add a random person for some reason because letting someone be your friend on last.fm doesn't carry much weight. It's not like Facebook.

Most of the time I play music and let last.fm scrobble.  I don't visit it every day unless I know I've made a scrobbling nightmare and have to delete something.
