Chopper: Always loved "Ballad of J&Y."  You are aware that the entire recording is just John and Paul?  George and Ringo were not around.  That's Paul on drums.  Cool!

BTW, re "Kite," according to George Martin, John DID say "being" before "for the benefit of Mr. Kite" in the first line of the song, but it was accidentally "clipped" when the master was cut.

Also, "A Day in the Life" is not said within the song.  Others:

Within You, Without You (the LYRIC is "within you AND without you")
Hello, Goodbye (the LYRIC is "you say hello, and I say goodbye")
Wild Honey Pie

Peace.

I knew about the Ballad of J&Y being recorded by Lennon and McCartney on their own, but I didn't know that about Mr Kite, thanks. Smile

Yes, I missed A Day in the Life, thanks. Big smile

"Hello Goodbye" is actually sung as part of the backing vocals just before the solo so I have to discount that one, sorry. Wink

I couldn't pick a Top 10 list for the Beatles with a loaded gun to my head! I will say that 'In My Life' is really close to the top as my all-time favorite.
