His name is Simon.  He is 17 months.

And I think my wife wants 3, but I think I want a horde.  I figure when social security goes down the drain, I'll can count on at least one of 12 children being rich.

I borrowed a microKorg once.  Good fun indeed!  However due to the fact I only borrowed it, I couldn't re-program it, so I made-do with the defaults.

And as you are aware, that doesn't include a piano sound.

No default piano (though there's a funky electric that I don't care for).  Programing this thing is a real pain, but I've produced two or three presets that suit me.  There's also a few factory presets I frequent.

You can download presets, I believe.  Yep, I didn't really look at the programming side of things because I wasn't allowed to but I gather it is indeed a sod.

I need a keyboard and I don't know what I want.  I love analogue but at the same time, I want to record and it's easier with a keyboard that does it for you (or will plug into a PC).

You can, but I don't have the proper cable to do that (my computer lacks MIDI inputs but has like 10 USB ports).

I use a middle of the road Yamaha, and I'm pleased with it.  With all the quality VSTIs out there, there's no reason to spend a fortune on real Mellotrons, mini-Moogs, etc.  Unless you have money coming out of your bum.

But digital Mellotrons aren't quite the same. Wink

I once got some midi samples of Mellotron (orchestral) and put them into Audacity and cut them up... bloody tough though.  I guess it's easy using a digital keyboard to do it. LOL

Have you had any chance to peruse my mind-numbingly awful prose yet?

Normal Mellotrons take up space.

Not yet.  I've got to get this music finished before Christmas, or it'll be next year before my music is available.  I will though.  You have my word on it.
