That was a surprise, Kimi, Hamilton and Kovy have had the measure of him so far this weekend, I suspect he's running a bit light. Quality lap from him though. If its wet tomorrow I'd put money on Massa being the first one into the wall, probably at turn 1 on the opening lap. |

Well, at least the Aston sports works colours, unlike last year.
How they manage to squeeze 220+ cars and their pitcrews onto that pit lane I have no idea... Yay, the Apollo is back on track! Probably the craziest car this year. Now the Aston bites the gravel. Edited by Visitor13 - May 24 2008 at 12:03 |

The Astons works supported this year, it was a private entry last. Bad driving their, whos in at the moment? That Apollo reminds me of the Porsche Carrera GT, definitely crazy. |

Yeah, you mentioned the works support before, redundant comment about the colours on my part. Dunno who's driving it now, but the lineup looks solid enough.
Looking at other crazy cars this year, there's a few Opel Astra Caravans, Volker Strycek's Manta is back again. Then there's a Kia and a Fiat 500, and that Lexus. I'd love to see a heavily souped-up Fiat 126 P race there one day. Never gonna happen, but it'd be fun. Still, it wouldn't be anywhere near as crazy as 1997 (?) when someone raced a Volkswagen... Van. Yes, you heard that right. Slowest thing out there by far, but just so wonderfully random. |

Monaco in the rain.....what a race!
All I can say about it, what a crazy race. Congrats to Lewis Hamilton on the win, (first British driver since Graham Hill they said) Huge congrats to Kubica, Massa (who made it through the rain), Webber, Vettel, Barichello, and Nakajima And to Adrian Sutil running in 4th with a few minutes left when he was taken out by Kimi What a drive man. |

I'm unhappy about that result in my opinion Sutil was robbed of what could be the best finish of his career by Kimi.

Actually Monaco in the wet is probably the best place for the lower teams as it has a history of throwing up odd results like Panis winning in the Ligier a few years ago.

That's why I like it, its so slow and difficult, and more so in the rain it's an equalizer.
And on another note, I'm impressed with Mark Webber. He's put together a string of consistent finishes and the guys has paid his dues IMO. He's beat around with the lower teams a while now, I really really hope he would get a better drive. Though I doubt it. |

Hmm, sounds like it was a fun race after all. I guess I'll catch a re-run.
But now it's time for the 500... and contrary to what I said earlier, I'm more psyched about that one than about the Nordschleife race. |

Its not often you see people getting away with hitting the wall at Monaco, but using it as the catalyst for a win is amazing! Drive of the race from Sutil, spent the middle part of it traing fastest laps with Webber and Hamilton, really feel for the guy. Surprised that the wet weather miestros of Button, Raikkonen, DC (who was the last British winner at Monaco, we've had several over the last 40 years since Graham Hill), Alonso and Heidfeld did so badly when Massa, who's usually useless in the wet, did so brilliantly.

Great race for Massa!
And my bad for the mistake, (no British driver since Hill) although I did hear that from one of the announcers..... Even the experts make mistakes I might be able to understand forgetting about David Coultard....but Jackie Stewart?? Edited by JJLehto - May 25 2008 at 23:35 |

I'm kinda bummed Meira didn't win. He'd be over the moon. I fear he may be running out of time.
Still, congrats to Dixon, he earned it. And lol @ Danica Patrick's stroll down the pitlane (with her helmet on, no less!) I can't blame her for being pizzed off at Briscoe, but I still found it funny. |

Servia 11th
Power 13th Bernoldi 15th Moraes 18th (was on the verge of crashing often, no idea how he kept the car in one piece) 6 laps down Junqueira 20th 16 laps down (a mirror broke off some 10 laps into the race, and he spent about 15 laps in the pits getting another attached) Viso 26th retired (was just outside the top ten early on) Wilson 27th crashed (was quite fast at the beginning, kept up with the Ganassis) Camara 31st crashed Rahal 33rd crashed I would have liked someone in the top ten, but it was not to be. Moraes not crashing would be the most impressive, really. |

We've had the Le Mans test day today, Peugeot were, unsurprisingly, fastest but they were 4 seconds up on last years poll time with a 3:22. !

You have the ICS at Texas instead. Yeah, I know the track's somewhat cookie-cutterish, but there are worse out there. Good to see last year's accident isn't holding Kubica back. Now if only the McLarens and Ferraris retired... |

I do love when they're in North America because these races are on at normal times!
What a qualifying, thought Kubica had it...but Hamilton nabbed it at the last moment Also, Alonso and Rosberg in the top 5 Edited by JJLehto - June 07 2008 at 14:17 |
