I started watching Attack on Titan a few days ago, and so far I can recommend it. Though the horror is toned down (you don't really see most of the horrible details of what's happening, the manga is probably gorier), the emotions reach me and it is a really scary scenario.

I thought about rating them but I didn't have time to do that. The only anime I didn't like was Blue Gender, it was so boring but I kept watching, hoping it would get better... it didn't Dead
Thanks! These two sound interesting, I'll put them on my watchlist Thumbs Up I started watching Berserk, I remembered seeing a couple of episodes with a friend of mine a few years ago.

I really want to watch this, but it's with subs only on Netflix and Funimation and I really would rather not read while trying to watch.

Cool! and Berserk....you can say I'm kind of terrified of it (I mean just LOOK at some of the clips!)

They have the dub, but you have to be a subscriber to their service.  It isn't free like most of their shows on there.

I finished Paranoia Agent last night, and that show is a trip.  For only 13 episodes, they get a lot in and introduce quite a few characters, but it doesn't feel like too much and not once was I confused as to what was going on.  What's finally revealed at the end, they kind of give it away a few episodes from the end, but you're still left guessing as to who Lil Slugger is and if he's even real.  Great soundtrack, too.

Oh, and I created my own anime list, as well! http://myanimelist.net/profile/MillsLayne

Yeah, it's quite dark and there's also the terrifying sword that never has the same size LOL

I don't know if they ever did an English dub of the movie.  I'd LOVE to see it, but if it's only in Japanese, I probably won't watch it.  GitS 2 Innocence was the exception to that.

I watched it (just like every anime) in Japanese with English subtitles. I always try to watch the original version: habits from my country, we generally don't dub anything Tongue

I really wouldn't mind doing it if I didn't think I'd miss something visually because I was too concerned about the subs.  Plus, sometimes, I really just want to kick back and relax while I watch, and subs take that away.

If it's a really good dub, I prefer that, but most dubs make me cringe. Normally the voice acting is okay; it's just the way certain phrases are translated.

^^ Yeah, it's not easy getting used to it if you don't watch with subtitles often. I'm glad it works this way here, I learned a lot of English thanks to movies and TV shows Thumbs Up

^ It's funny watching with both English dub and subtitles and seeing how different dialogues are Tongue

Does anybody know if a series from a few years back called `Deadman Wonderland' (from what I remember) got a second season?

I never quite got through every episode, but I was considering buying the bluray set and watching the whole thing in its entirety again.

I think it's on Netflix now if you just want to stream it.

I remember the show being wildly inconsistent! Had some interesting ideas and a mess of others. Probably why I never quite got all the way through it! I was watching it when it was being fan-subbed, not sure if I even finished getting the downloads at the time.

Looking to get some nice anime blurays in the future, I haven't bought any in that format so far, well, with the exception of the first `Ranma 1/2' and `Sailor Moon' box-sets , but they're pretty old and creaky by todays standards, so I'd love some modern ones that visually really pop. They're damn expensive, though!

1. i guess you might have to read the manga if that's the case

2. anyway, i started my journey with the Fate series from Type-Moon with Fate/Stay Night (2006) and the film version of UBW

.....now before you go on and hang me on Gallows Hill (you figure that one out), i want to point out that i did this out of curiosity, and i wanted to see the basis of the Fate route in the original visual novel (am aware of the things taken out there), and the film was for what's to be expected from that route when i get to the TV series. may be going for Fate/Zero (which i can't wait!!)

overall, enjoyment was rather high despite some of the animation and writing inconsistencies for the series and the over-editing for the film. let the hate roll in!!
