Different.
Art Bears is pop.

That sounds like an exaggeration to me

pop = Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, etc.

Art Bears ≠ them

Art Bears are far more pop than Henry Cow.

Speaking of drinking ages, are schools in Canada (such as McGill) big on drinking/partying? The admissions officer at McGill claimed that there was almost no partying there, but I really doubt he was telling the truth with tons of parents in the room. I really don't want to go to a big party school.

I will grow grey whiskers, become incontinent and barren on my birthday, I'm sure.

Oh, and it's also likely I will get food poisoning from the restaurant were going to.

Because 30 is so old... I can't wait to be older so that people won't assume I'm an ignorant rebelious teenager. Also, being able to see R-rated movies in theaters would be nice.

So you'll just wither away as soon as the clock hits midnight? Confused

I was at Concordia, and I don't think there was much, really. But it's really a multi-ethnic school, with a wide age difference between people, so it's not a party place for sure. Great school though.

See, the thing is, you don't have to party in university in Montreal. If you're 18, you can go to a pub, or bar, or club, and party there. Plus it's totally downtown.

I just don't like the whole drinking atmosphere in college. I want to go to a place where kids are (somewhat) serious about learning. That's my big turnoff about Penn. It has a considerable amount of drinking.

Well, again, it's hard for me to speak for McGill, although I suspect it must quite similar to Concordia.

At Concordia, people just seemed to want to get their degrees as soon as possible and get a job.

By the way, do you have any idea how hard it is to get into McGill (like GPA out of 4 / SAT because I'm American)?

You're not supposed to be so blatant, Gabe.

And you are less organized than me. LOL

I really don't know. Probably not that high because they accepted me.

Although they'll accept any Francophone. Tongue
