How did that completely ignore what you said?

The single point I was making was that you wouldn't be sticking it to oil CEOs, you would sticking it to poor and middle class people who depend upon the mobility afforded to them by cars to actually make a living and have food on the table.

Of course there would be some hardship on those who are poor and middle class. But, the worst offenders that I see on the roads are usually driving fancy, expensive cars (you'd think people that paid a lot of money for a car would be more careful with it, but I guess they just think they're too important to follow the rules of civility). However, there are lots of poorer and I'm sure middle class bad drivers as well. Of course, as a hard core lib, I do think that we as a society should be spending more money on public transportation (both for environmental and economic reasons). With good public transport systems in place, I don't see that it would take food from the tables of the poor and middle class. It would certainly be more of an inconvenience though. But if you can't drive with concern for those on the road with you, you deserve to be inconvenienced, whether you're poor, rich or somewhere in between.

I'd like to give a thumbs up for head of the Georgia Libertarian party for his stance on the new HOT lanes and HOV lanes as well. He took the position that both should just be eliminated and let all who travel on the highways be able to use those since we as taxpayers paid for it. I was trying to look up the editorial but haven't put my finger on it. I did find this:

Have taken that little exam before. It's very basic but that's the point, I suppose. Haven't found a better one (that takes less than an hour to take) yet.
Here are the Ron Paul portion of tonights debate:
Didn't catch the rest so I'm hoping T will pop in here, at some point, with any non-Paul related high(low)lights.

Sadly not, and I will never hang around in Boston long enough for them to know me!
nah Boston is a great city. Technically, it's Mr Finland After all, I didnt just make this sh*t up OR name it after whatever his face is from that band... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JJ_Lehto I am doing fine. The free market (aka Craigslist) got me a very large, hi def TV with all that cool jazz for $50. Was weird as hell having to meet this guy at his house, at night, to get it but I brought a tough guy with me. Then I got pretty drunk but not nearly as much as Pat. |

I watched the whole thing.
1. Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich got most of the attention and sort of made buffoons of themselves. 2. Michelle Bachmann tended to speak in platitudes while criticizing the President and anyone who even so much as looked at Obama. She harped on how important it was to be a "consistent conservative," and kept knocking "Newt Romney" but could say nothing against the doctor standing beside her. 3. Rick Perry just came across as a seedy politician. 4. Rick Santorum did an admirable job and was well-spoken. 5. Ron Paul was the only one who stuck to the rules of the debate, didn't substitute substance with personal attacks, addressed every question, and generally kicked ass. |

They came out in support of family values which is a good thing because I hate families.I haven't yet made up my mind about Family Guy yet though I am pretty convinced his testicles are his chin.

I just finished watching the debate. I think Romney and Perry's closing remarks about Ron Paul were pretty telling and sort of sum up what just makes him different from the rest of the candidates.
