That is my favorite part on the whole idea of this genre. Anyway, another epic could be the whole Tales from Topographic Oceans album by Yes because all the songs on it are NOTHING but 20 minute epics.

where's the Rush!?! all their side long epics are awesome and here's my top 3 order of it:
1. 2112 suite (from 2112) 2. Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres (from Hemispheres) 3. The Fountain of Lamneth (from Caress of Steel)

Mandalaband - Om Mani Padme Hum, from their eponymous 1st album, one that gets overlooked a lot around here and deserves far more recognition than it gets.

Glad to see I'm not the only one willing to give that track some love. Rogue may be their best track in my book, but Into the Dream, along with the other tracks on that album, are also masterpieces in their own right and definitely deserve high praise and respect. |

That album overall is a masterpiece - every song. My favorite by far is Canto IV. Really grabs me in many ways.

Such a strong start to an album too! Even though they're all masterpieces on a basically flawless album, my favorite has to be Crutches. Lyrically, it's so powerful, and the music is so evocative I can't help but feel like I've been through an emotional marathon every time I hear it. Like the others, it only gets better with each listen too. Edited by Neo-Romantic - July 12 2013 at 23:43 |

WTF ... you don't think that "Remember the Future" is not a concept? .... or "Recycled" for that matter?
RTF is almost 40 minutes long!
Recycled is both sides, although it was combined with material they already had on stage a bit different.
Heck, their first album is 40 minutes!
