Can't Add Youtube video to Band profile - Progressive Rock Music Forum

Hi Guys

I tried to add video to my band's profile http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=8575

It doesn't work.

However, few weeks ago Kev Rowland added a video, so it was working. Am I doing something wrong? :)

^ Done. Though I don't recommend to add more than 1-2 videos at once, because only 3 recently added videos are shown on the main page.

This is a well-known problem with a good many users - myself included. Older members of the site can use this facility - usually without a hitch - whether they are collaborators or not, but the majority of those joining in the last three years or so always get this error message when using the 'Search and add more videos' link on an artist page. It has never worked for me - even during the 6 months last year when I was a collaborator in the Crossover team. Andy once advised me that it was something to do with my user number - I guess anyone having a user number above a certain threshold (ie those joining the site more recently) are excluded from using the facility, and it will only be fixed when M@X upgrades the software, and since there is probably more chance of Taylor Swift being added to Symphonic Prog than that happening, I wouldn't hold my breath!!!

Andy is one of our admins (one of only four at the moment) - and he has a huge amount of work to do on here. Adding mp3 links to an artist's page will not be amongst his highest priorities at the moment to be perfectly honest, and there was also a problem with the FTP server which only got ironed out earlier this year, leaving quite a large backlog of mp3 additions for him to work through. He will get to your messages eventually, I'm sure, but I think you also need to consider that you have made just 5 posts in almost a year since joining the site (four of them being in this thread in the last three days) - plus a few 'ratings only' of a dozen or so albums - and you don't give any information whatsoever about yourself in your 'Members profile'.
