I'm partial to Roxy and Elsewhere by Frank Zappa, Playing the Fool by Gentle Giant, and live at the Greek with Stanley Clark and Billy Cobham.

One of te best but not the best:

  1. Genesis Archives I
  2. Welcome Back My Friends to the Show that Never Ends
  3. Renaissance Live at Carnegie Hall
  4. Kansas - Two for the Show
  5. Deep Purple Made in Japan
  6. Uriah Heep Live 73
  7. Pulse
  8. Focus Live at the Rainbow
  9. In the Flesh Live
  10. Kansas - Device, Voice, Drum

Are at least in the same level IMO.

Don't like too much to be honest HT, I prefer Secret World but on DVD, it's a musical and visual show, so I didn't included it, but I forgoit my N° 2:

Steve Hackett - Tokyo Tapes.

Its interesting that ELP's Welcome Back My Friends has also been criticised for 'muddy' sound quality. In old money that was a triple album like Yessongs.
I think my top five live albums would be
1.Rush - Different Stages
2.Tangerine Dream - Pergamon
3.ELP -Pictures At An Exhibition
4.Genesis - Seconds Out
5.Tangerine Dream -Poland
