Even with that silly cover, it is still a crap load better than 'in the hot seat' |

At least Abacab has a better name than Love Beach.
And Love Beach is better than 'Tresspass'!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() No chance. EDIT: Progger it seems that you keep addressing that "Trespass" is a terrible album and it's funny when you compare it to Love Beach ![]() stand with everyone else here to say that your alone in thinking LB is better than Trespass. You also said that Genesis was known for making two terrible albums to start? They weren't known for that. You might not like the album but that doesn't change the fact that Trespass is known as a great transition album and a HUGE step from FGTR. Edited by FragileDT |

LOVE BEACH? More like what Hugues Chantraine said..."Love Bitch". Sorry; couldn't resist. |

I'd say that Rush's debut and Civilian are both better than Love Beach. The Division Bell and Open Your Eyes are both inferior, but then neither of those were "real" albums by the bands whose names appear on the cover. Genesis never released an album called Tresspass. They did release a fine sophomore effort called Trespass, however, which is much better than Love Beach. |

I think the comparison to Trespass is grossly unfair. Genesis were still finding their feet at the time they made Trespass, as was Prog as a whole genre. Trespass is indeed a "transitory album" and occupies a logical step between "From Genesis to Revelation" and Nursery Cryme.
Love Beach however, is a completely different canario - sorry, scenario ![]() |

Oh - and if we're going to start correcting people's spelling mistakes, can everybody please make a note of the correct spelling of the word DEFINITELY? (There is no "a" in it for a start!)

IT CONTAINS BEAUTIFULL ROLAND GUITAR SYNTHESIZER AND CLASSICAL- ELEMENTS. IN FACT , LOVE BEACH IS THERE BEST ALBUM EVER .DON'T EVER CRITISIZE THE MECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THE MUSIC. TONY BANKS, AND E.L.P. NEVER PUT OUT BAD ALBUMS . LOVE BEACH AWESOME AND BRILLIANT

I want to agree with you, but putting Rush on that list....no way, IMO. ELP were already well-established by the time LOVE BITCH came out. Rush were still finding their feet musically. AND...Neil Peart wasn't there yet. Cut them some slack. Edited by sbrushfan |

For the record, just to show you guys that LOVE BEACH deserves the rating it gets...the lyrics to the execrable TASTE OF MY LOVE...<gag> Ohhh, you look so hungry woman
PROOF POSITIVE that underneath the prog exterior lurked a horny b*****d. "Here it comes; a taste of my love." What is that...a cumshot? A facial? HEHE! Edited by sbrushfan |

My favorite Progressive Rock album is: "Brain Salad Surgery". Also; "In The Court of the Crimson King" rates right up there. As a long time ELP fan, that's an easy choice for me. I was lucky enough to see ELP live during the 'Brain Salad Surgery' tour (Feb. 1974). Nothing, I have ever seen really compares.

I still say Trespass is worse than Love Beach. Tresspass is just an aweful folk album made be kids trying to be wannabe pop stars. They still hadn't shaken off the Jonathan King influence at the time of Trespass. I hate that album soooooo much! |

It's not hard to figure out where Spinal Tap got a lot ideas for their lyrics. Stuff like that is beyond parody - Love Beach is an amazing achievement |
