I noticed the price is $21.12

Is that significant?
Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

Ya, the 1st time I heard "Approximate" on YCDTOSA Vol2, I remember thinking "what in the world is going on?" Clown

A lot of his albums are made up of different tunes, in entirely different styles of music. I like his music a ton, but many of the albums seem kinda "confused", because it will have a goofy novilty (sp) song, a serious Jazz tune, complex rock, etc. But its always good stuff.

Road Tapes Venue #2 is coming out, supposedly in September around the same time Roxy By Proxy is coming out. It's going to be the Helsinki show from 08/23/1973 with Jean-Luc Ponty!

Not really, but it's apparently only delayed by a month or something. I feel like new FZ albums come out closer to the end of the year every year anyway.

Information is
Not knowledge
Knowledge is
Not wisdom
Wisdom is not truth
Truth is not beauty
Beauty is not love
Love is not music
Music is the best...

That is Frank Zappa.

Frank Z looks so crusty in the early days - I'm just not convinced he is an anti-drugs person.......

I believe that Henry Vestine was under the same impression. It's difficult to digest I know..but he supposedly fired musicians when he discovered them indulging in drugs. Also...take into account the look Zappa had in the early days was so common..considering his viewpoints on life overall, he may have enjoyed the look, but not the lifestyle. That seems like Zappa to me. I agree and totally understand your disbelieve...but he had a track record of letting band members go because of it.

Hammersmith Odeon
Feeding the Monkees at Ma Maison
Carnegie Hall
Everything Is Healing Nicely

These four...I have always been overly curious about. What kind of Zappa quality am I missing by not having them? It took years to collect what I DO have. I have all the official releases and about 12 posthumous releases. By not having these 4..I am missing something special right? Could someone please give me some insight on the quality of these releases?

Hey Toddler, I have "Everything is Healing Nicely".  It's the companion piece to "The Yellow Shark"...they really go together like a set.  If you liked shark you should like healing as well.  There's a "Welcome to the United States" type of piece on healing called "Master Ringo".  Instead of reading the US Custom's Visitors Visa form, the Ensemble Modern guy (Herman Krestchmar) recites an anatomically explicit fan letter taken from this insane piercing magazine from a guy calling himself, "Master Ringo"...it's a scream...LOL

If you're a fan of FZ's synclavier work than Feeding The Monkees... is an essential purchase. A lovely album, with two extended pieces and three brand new ones.

Thank you to "The Crimson King" and "Man With Hat". They are rather exspensive and I suppose I'll have to suck that up. My wife's cousin works for the Zappa Family Trust and is planning to invite us as her guests on Zappa Day in Baltimore. The only issue is the funding. She is weary and doubtful that the event will take place due to lack of donations. I tend to think Gale Zappa might not have the funds to re-release these posthumous titles I am inquiring about. In otherwords...maybe it is just lack of money? Maybe Zappa plays Zappa tours with Dweezil don't rack in enough for continuation of investment in other things. Who knows?

I was just wondering if the Hammersmith is the 82' band? I'm in a hurry and wondering if by owning over 70 some cd's..if I already have live concerts of the 82' band? I can't recall. It's so overwhelming isn't it?Thanks everyone
