Yeah I've been spinning some 80s albums lately and just enjoying guilty pleasures.  Some of them are really fun even if not "prog greats".

Today:

Genesis - Shapes
Rush - Signals

Nick I've lost track of Townsend long ago, although I do have two more albums post Synchestra, I don't enjoy them half as much as I do with Terria or Synchestra.
I honestly think Synchestra is his best album featuring his strongest songwriting and coolest ideas. Keep at it my friend I'm sure your gonna love it Thumbs Up

I can recall a time (1970) when Let It Bleed and LZ III played regularly on my Sony reel to reel tape deck and Gimme Shelter and Since I've Been Loving You were regularly requested by my buddies.

Sam, I recently picked up Different Creatures on vinyl but I haven't gotten into it yet. Embarrassed
Your post tells me I should get around to that.
I like III less than the previous two, mostly because "Gallows Pole" and "Tangerine" are the only I really like on side B. I still like it more than the next one, I never understood all the hype about it.

That's what this thread is for Wink

It's their latest album, right? I still haven't heard it.

Astrodome - s/t (I'll see them again tomorrow. I hope they'll bring vinyl copies of it)
Øresund Space Collective - Different Creatures (CD2. Maybe even better than the first one. The first track is incredible, I never thought that the combination steel guitar, sitar and violin could work so well Clap)

Caravan - Waterloo lily
Anyone's Daughter - Adonis
Bubu - Resplandor
Diagonal - The Second Mechanism

^^^  Yeah Sam, the first two LZ albums are great and were a big part of my misguided youth.
III stands out simply because it was one of a few albums that define a specific time and place and every time I hear certain tracks I go back to that point (for better or for worse Ermm ).

Now that you have spoken highly about both Different Creatures CDs I'm really going to listen soon.  Thumbs Up

I don't think anyone would worry about that here LOL

Too much Psychedelic Rock lately and still many new album of the genre to listen to. A much needed change yesterday:
Entity - Il Falso Centro (Not as good as I thought it was. I think it could be a strong 40 minute album, some ideas are unnecessarily extended or repeated throughout the album... especially that fanfare sound that reminds of Windows 3.1's startup is cringeworthy LOL)
Mansun - Six (First proper listen. It's funny that on the surface it's a very accessible album but on closer inspection it's noticeable how uncommon the songwriting and production is Cool)
Arena - Contagion Max (CD1)
