^^Damnations great, it just sucks that Opeth said they don't plan on making another full-blown prog record.

Are you excited for Mikael Akerfeldt's solo album?

^^

Well, I need to convince my parents to let me go to an interstate metal concert, then to let me have two days off school to see it, then to convince them that I won't get hurt in the mosh and what not

^^I'd semi agree with you, to be completely honest ...

My parents have said no to the Opeth concert so far, but I'm really hoping they'll change their minds

Why would you miss two days of school only because of a concert? Ermm
Opeth is, uh, not metal... It's prog. Explain them! Big smile

My dad will probably be willing to let me go, I don't think my mum is willing to though... My dad got me into prog, and likes Opeth (well doesn't hate them) but my mum is saying a definite No right now

Bah, I'm already missing Dream Theater because they said no, and they won't even let me see Opeth when I'm happy to make the tickets my christmas present and nothing else

Oh, not seeing any shows sucks. But seeing DT live is even worst than seeing nothing Wink
My favourite show ever is Roger Waters two years ago. VDGG this summer was great too.
Le Orme and Rouge Ciel at the FMPM were amazing as well

Joel, something about me really likes you...

It's like, when I get out of bed, you're here, and when I am preparing to go to bed, you're here.

Only concert I've seen live was Yes in 2003 at the Montreux jazz festival, which is now available on DVD... That was amazing

And it featured my second favorite keyboardist with Yes.  Rick Wakeman wasn't there.  At that time, it was Igor Koroshev.  Dude...he's amazing.

Here was the set list:

"Young Persons Guide To The Orchestra" (Intro of course), then:

Close To The Edge
Starship Trooper
Gates Of Delirium
Leaves Of Green (from "The Ancient")
Heart Of The Sunrise
Ritual
I've Seen All Good People
Roundabout

Again...wow. Big smile
