That "time" and "moment" is what it's all about for me. I have vivid and nostalgic memories of being around age four or so, and listening to my dad's jazz CD's through the stereo in the living room. I associate the warm feelings that jazz gives me to that particular period, so I think I have somewhat of a subconscious connection to that time in my life. The raw, unfiltered, un-expectation that childhood affords parallels the workings and dynamics of jazz very closely for me.
