The Who Sell Out practically went out of print in the US during the early 70s.....it made a comeback as a two-fer coupled with A Quick One in the late 70s, then went out of print again.  Sure, it may have tickled the critic's fancy, but so did Skip Spence, Emitt Rhodes and Lee Micheals.  As an American Who freak, I can testify to the lack of availability of several early Who records outside expensive import from the late 70s to the mid-80s "comeback".....all were critically acclaimed, but not until the CD-era did the fanfare publicity for those albums really blanket the US.
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

I love pretty much all Who including The Who Sell Out.

They're one of my top 20 artists.

Also my favorite Who album, and the last one I really liked.  2nd favorite would be the compilation Direct Hits which was the very 1st UK import that I ever bought.
