I expect such type of comparing comes from listeners who know Zappa and Isaac Hayes (!!?) as two main artists, playing ... jazz-rock (?!)

I am not very enthusiastic about his endless Gypsy swing albums

I presume there's money to be made on the European circuit reenacting Hot Club De Paris ... My last favourite was his vocal tribute to the Sinatra song book, a good decade ago

Aarset's album was my main listening during a week or so - not great, but really interesting. Ambient-fusion?

Some album's moments are really great, but in all it's too bulky, sounds more like sound laboratory recordings collection. I really like to hear some interesting combinations of Brian Eno and Nordic (Terje Rypdal?) fusion, just as album it's obviously too raw.

Feedback from USA suggested this is  the soundtrack for a Nordic detective series......

Until I'm 100% sure we have fixed several problems properly this end, I feel some issues are down to us - but  problem reports are from one or two different folks miles apart and the rest don't have problems.. diagnose that

Second week of the 2 hour show from 9pm GMT this Thursday. Managed to get hold of the forthcoming Scott Walker album (Bish Bosch)  - now if you think the recent David Sylvian played has been pushing popular music limits, then Scott Walker goes further, and has done for well over a decade, (and remember he was lead voice of Walker Brothers in the 60's, e.g. 'The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore'). More from the new Steve Hackett album - but familiar material. Something I found Summer 2011 and forgot, (had to be reminded by the random play of my I-Pod this weekend), the Arab Israeli band Yemen Blue - interesting fusion. Examples of what is found on the  Anglo Scandinavian band Food's new album. The more from the Swedish label Flawed Gems, who have been burrow deep into the archives for some forgotten but interesting music(s):

Food's album could be probably tagged as another " soundtrack for a Nordic detective series", at least they are quite close to Aarset new album's sound (with Aarset and Molvaer on board as guests). Waiting for Nov.22 to hear Sidsel Endresen, she's often unpredictable. Didn't hear this album - I see all Nordic leading team (Molvaer, Wesseltoft,Audun Kleive) are here
