It's probably a tie between A Farewell To Kings, Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures.
Second place is shared by the rest, with the exception of Caress of Steel, Hold Your Fire and Test For Echo.

I merely love the last three Wink

If you like Rush, you might enjoy some of the music I just finished composing and recording.  I spent 15 years in a relatively successful Rush tribute band, because I've always been told I sound a lot like Geddy Lee (vocally, plus I'm a very active bass player).  Although the music comes from an entirely different set of influences than Rush (primarily classical and traditional jazz), it is still firmly rooted in the progressive rock genre.  Although much of the music was produced electronically, I think it still has value in the writing and above-average guitar and bass playing.

This is not an ad, as this is not for commercial gain, but rather the overall promotion of good prog rock writing (which there can never be enough of).

Please feel free to check out the selections at:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cambria/25358354528 (yes, that's Michael Anthony)

There's also an amateur music video at; http://youtube.com/user/Cambria2112

I'd love to know what real, prog rock fans think

Just to bump this:

Listened to Power Windows and S&R today. Realised that I'd totally forgot how great they both were!
And when speaking of PW, which is you favourite 80's album, not including Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves?

I certainly did.

It's excellent for those who saw the shows or just like S&A (9 f 12 songs on the setlist!). I like it a lot! Thumbs%20Up

Had planned on going for such a long time...but I ended staying home. Just because I couldn't get some friends with me. So much for friendship! Now one of them has started to like the band and deeply regrets it. I even tried to make a deal with one of them: If he joined me for the Rush concert, I would join him on an Iced earth one...that's a big sacrifice for me LOL

Hey man, I went with my girlfriend and my MOTHER. How awesome is that? LOL

However, my mother is now an avid Rush fan, whenever I go home she asks me to bring my Rush cds! I'm
pretty sure she's also going with me this May when I see them again. But I've also got a couple friends going.

And hey, in exchange for my bringing my girlfriend to Rush twice I have to go with her to see MSI two days
later Dead. Iced Earth sounds like a friggen treat compared to that... Oh well... maybe I'll get a green mohawk and
wear fishnets LOL

Could have asked my father...he's a fan and everything! Well well, I'll have to live with the bitterness and catch them next time. Whenever that might be. I've had a nightmare where the guys perform in long white beards while sitting in wheelchairs LOL I'm sure it would be one hell of a show anyway!

I got the chance to listen to a bit of the new live album while I was out and about today.  Great set list - I enjoyed listening to "Digital Man", "Entre Nous", and "Mission" - in particular, thought they did a great performance of the latter.

What other non-S&A songs are on the album?
