I came away from last week's show with my ears ringing (in a manner of speaking) with a couple of regulars reminding me that there hsn't been any Indo jazz fusion recently. To make up for it, quite a bit of jazz ***** fusion this week, (fill in your own musical dialect here, as long as you include Indo, Arabo, Gamalan, flamenco, Qawalli. East European), plus some interesting fusions in the rock genre. Somehow or rather Morgan Agren is not on Thursday's menu but I would thought there is plenty else to get you excited.

A lot of new albums schedualed for next Thursday, plus music have been out some time but I've only just caught up with. Also been searching through the archives for 80's and 90's recordings (e.g. CD singles from the more obscure hit-searchers), and listen out for some vaguely familiar music. One of our regular listeners is featured twice - yes the albums arrived Kim - more details on the show. Featured artist Argen Morgan appears on a new release out this week, playing with Henry Kaiser and Trey Gunn, on the improv recording Invisible Rays. Enjoy:

Re-listened King Crimson discog last week - even from time distance almost all albums are true classics. Fripp's solo releases vary, but his duos with David Sylvian usually are interesting

Very much agree - but note my comment that the track played was relatively lightweight for them

We continue to dip into a batch of new releases, including yet another release by Morgan Agren, this time with The Kings Of Belgium. Then there's the title track from the forthcoming Phronesis album, more from  and Esperanza Spalding. Thanks to the artist himself a couple of tunes from Juilan Julien's Strange - and more from Thinking Plague's Decline & Fall thanks to their keyboardist Kim Sajn. Then a few oldies buried deep in the archives.............. enjoy

Started Phronesis new album today - sounds as another quality EST clone, but if Michael Wollny's em new album is enough adventurous and contains own ideas, "Walking Dark" is more a good copy. May be just first impression though...
