Bob Dylan says so, so what more proof do you need. see Bob went big and made a deal wih the devil. Demons when asked a favor want something in return. often to be represented in art, so stairway to heaven was the tribute to the demon Zeppelin made a deal with.
Comus! comus also spoke to the Demon Comus, in return they represented it through art. Also the poem "Comus", is a tribute by the author to this demon!
More "crazy talk " to digest.

Bob Dylan surely must be THE supremely most overrated musical icon of the last 40 years.

Occult? Ha!
Belief in the "devil," as anything other than a symbol of man's capacity to do evil, is patently ridiculous, IMO.
Now, would some obliging believer please ask me why?

As someone who knows absolutely everything I'm getting very tired of explaining things to people who don't want to listen.
Therefore: I'm never getting involved in any discussion on religion or any topic even remotely connected with it ever again. People who truly believe that we are ruled by supernatural forces belong in Darwin's waiting room and that's my last, final, completely and definitely, word on the subject.

I have had experiences of that nature myself but we know far too little of the workings of the brain as yet to place things like that in the realm of the supernatural, that's the simplistic explanation. I think there's most likely a neurological explanation. And remember: Your brain is the most fantastic organ on this planet, but it's also the most unreliable. You cannot even trust your own eyes and your own recollection of events, just watch two people describe the same bankrobber!

Most modern Christian theologians don't even believe in the devil as an entity.
It's a step in the right direction, anyway.
