^ Cool, thanks for the info guys.  I agree with Porcupine Tree taking a different direction had Mr. Maitland remained in the band.  I'm in the majority when I say I love both drummers and think  they each fit in with the band beautifully in their own way. 

I've said this before but my favorite song by them is "Last Chance to Evacuate the Planet Earth. . . Before it is Recycled" and most of that is because of Mr. Maitland's drumming in the 6/8 part of the song (the last half).  Basically, it's one slow two minute long drum fill, I don't think anything is repeated but it keeps the time and just jams out.  It is possible one of my favorite drumming moments in music.  I also say that not having a lot of favorite drumming moments, but that's something that really sticks out to me as something special.

I've got to go and listen to the Kino CD that I have, when I first got it, I wasn't terribly impressed, though I didn't have an appreciation of Chris Maitland at that point.

Unrelated, I give Signify a good listen last night and again this morning.  I really like it.  I know there are several within this thread that think it's one of their weaker releases, but for me, I'd probably rank it fourth or fifth.  "Dark Matter" is such an ethereal track, the two Waiting tracks are fantastic and the "Sever" through "Intermediate Jesus" run is great as well.

Signify's great. The ambience. Oh, the ambience! I love the trippy instrumental interludes, and of course the heavy title track, and the beautiful songs like Waiting, Every Home Is Wired, and especially Dark Matter.

I absolutely LOVE Siginify!  One of their most diverse and , IMO, best releases.  It was the middle-ground right between TSMS and the pop-inspired Stupid Dream/Lightlbulb Sun albums.  I'm not sure what everyone else thinks, but my favourite PT track is pretty close to being "The Sleep of No Dreaming."  I love Barbieri's simplistic yet eerily beautiful keyboard (organ synth?) in the beginning.  The lyrics are dark and creepy as well. Overall, I just really enjoy Signify!

Just curious... what is everybody's thoughts on On the Sunday of Life? Favorite songs, least favorite, opinions..etc, etc.

Not a fan of On A Sunday Life, with the exception of Radioactive Toy (what a classic). I like Nine Cats, but I much prefer the acoustic version included on the bonus disc for the remastered version of Signify, Steven's volcal is awsome, and it inspired me to hunt down the chords and learn it for myself.

kscope is doing a reissue of the already classic mini-album nil recurring on june 14th 2010. hope they come up with something cool

Hmmm, don't like the sound of that. It best not have any extra tracks on it

Is it an actual reissue or just a reprinting because they are out of stock?  Just curious.
