I saw it on the news earlier. I'm sure it will be a great day, but my preference is to remember Ozzy & Sabbath as he/they were back in the day, which can simply not be recreated in 2025. In all honesty, I am more interested in listening to the new stuff.

That sounds awfully miserable, I know, but Ozzy hasn't been capable of a decent show for many a year now.

Oh, I definitely hear you, Steve. And I'd be way more cynical if it were a full tour. But this is kind of a neat idea I think, to do a one-off for their hometown. I don't know much about Birmingham, but I'm assuming that all these bands and fans coming will be a nice windfall for the local coffers of food workers and hoteliers, etc. They'll probably do a 30-minute set given all the support bands, and the local fans will have a thrill.

But from the artistic perspective, I remember them as they were in the day too. Just like I said in the Stones thread. These bands have their "relevant artist" period, and then they have their Vegas show period for ever after.  But, if I'm lucky enough to catch a stream of it over here, I'll suspend my cynicism and try to enjoy seeing the four of them one more time, as I did with Zeppelin in '07.
