First, you are correct in pointing out that I have engaged in sarcasm.  Mt frustration got the better of me, and expressed itself in sarcasm.  For that I apologize.  Sarcasm is never a Christian quality.

As for being "scornful" or "judgmental," there is a difference between "judgment" and "rebuke."  I have not "judged" you in any way.  Only Christ can do that.  But I have been rebuking you, as I am called to do, both as a Christian and as a minister.  Indeed, I have been doing exactly as Scripture says: "Preach the word!...Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching."  (2 Tim. 4:2)  And boy have I been "longsuffering!"

Maani, making comments such as these is not rebuking... thats just judgemental.. if you want to rebuke me.. then just slap me on the hand and say "Bad girl"...

• As you are a self-proclaimed "Christian," this is a serious matter.
• I believe, based on your comments, that, at a very minimum, your walk has been "corrupted" somehow.
•  ..have you not all but inferred that you are that "perfect Christian," since you apparently have nothing to learn from anyone?

Also, as for whether Jesus would be less "sarcastic, judgmental and controlling" in His teaching, Jesus did get quite frustrated by people, including His own disciples:

"O faithless and perverse generation!  How long shall I be with you?  How long shall I suffer you?"  (Matt 17:17)  Not exactly kind words.

"And He said to them, 'Do you not understand this parable?  How then will you understand all the parables?'"  (Mark 4:13)

Well you've lived a few years as a human... don't you understand and sympathize...??

Grow up-and I believe that is the only just way of dealing with that remark. There are a million and one arguments I could make about "charitable double standards" that are perfectly acceptable anywhere except that particular thread.

Forgiveness was not the issue and I didn't say I didn't forgive him... He asked me for a comment where he did something... and I gave it to him... by you now throwing that back at me with a inaccurate accusation... how "Christian" is that Maani?

Actually you've proven to me the same about you.  Which is sort of disappointing.  I've also seen how quickly you are to assume and accuse, that your extremely judgemental and lack sympathy.. This rambling paragraph confirms my belief that you are used to being "humoured" (ie patronised.) You seem to suggest that it is somehow morally wrong to judge you or debate your beliefs.If we were just having a conversation then the reasonable thing to do would be to not correct you-but this is a discussion you entered into freely.

You entered a "discussion" implicit in that action is that others will debate your beliefs as you present them to them.

Your judgement of other people's arguments and rationales in this thread have continually been very poor.The one time I was able to prove conclusively that you were getting the "wrong end of the stick" (Maybe because thats not what Maani was saying... You should read that again...) you still didnt step back and reconsider your position.

You are now making a common mistake around here-speaking for others without their consent.  Dont presume other women on this forum feel any empathy with you.It is seems evident from their posts that they do not!

Seeing as I've never made a comment about any of the other women on this site, except to say that I know I'm not the only one, I guess this is a combative tactic you learned in Debate 101 class... ohh, I'm so impressed!

I've not seen any messages from the other women on this site that says they feel unempathic towards me.. actually I've felt nothing but comradarie from those such as Petra and Shrinking Violet... using that as a tactic, is pretty pointless, I'd say.  But then so is about 90% of your posts...
