Well, lets hear it....
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Well, you basically need it to survive in the world today. So, as much as money spawns greedy, selfish bastards like most of the American upper class, I would have to say that I sort of like it. That is, until I move out of my house and live in the woods.

I live on the minimum wage in the UK, but have 'live in' accommodation with no bills, so although my disposable income is quite low, it can ALL go on CDs whoo hoo!

You would think I'd have taken a more serious approach to life at the age of 37 wouldn't you?  Not a chance!

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Evil

It’s not a goal that people consciously set for themselves

Yet millions… billions… have been embraced by its seductive coils

It can hide behind a variety of disguises

Power

Desire

Competition

Justification

Self-Interest

Though most profess their innocence

Each of us has faced it in our lives…

Each of us has touched it

However briefly

The bible calls it sin

And has identified its root;

The love of money

If the thought of an honest wage to cover honest expenses seems like a sign of stunted growth

If it doesn’t matter where the profit comes from

Or where it goes…

Watch out

Trade and barter are real

Cash can be used for any thing or activity

It’s an abstract

Money comes from nowhere and promises everything

If your motives aren’t clean

Money itself becomes evil

But… when we don’t have enough money

Enough evil

The world tells us we’re losers

So, what determines our place in society

Is not how much kindness is in our hearts

But how much evil is in our wallets

I have a love hate relationship with money. I love to
have it. But I hate being responsible for it.
Can't live with it. Can't live without it.

My god, money is not evil. Its a medium of exchange. People are evil, not money. And yes, people kill people, not guns.

But if you want to assume money is evil...
then you might be interested in this little matematical proof.

Time = Money
Money = Evil
Girls = Time
Girls = Money

Girls = Time X Money

make a few substitutions...

Girls = Money X Money
Girls = Money^2
Girls = Evil^2
(Girls)^1/2 = Evil

Therefore, girls are the root of all evil.

I may have not done that right... there's a more elegant version of it somewhere.

Valarius and JrKASperov:

Let's make sure we get the Scripture correct.  It is the love of money that is the root of all evil; not money per se.  After all, Solomon was the richest man who ever lived, yet he was considered beloved of God because he did not ask for money but for wisdom.  So God gave him both.

There is nothing wrong with making money, having money or spending money.  Although hording is certainly "evil" within the Scriptural definition, the mere fact of being able to afford "non-essential" things is not, in and of itself, evil.  There are "good" rich people and "bad" rich people - just as there are "good" poor people and "bad" poor people.

It is ultimately the motives, intentions and reasons behind one's wealth and how one handles it  that determine its "danger" as an "evil."

Peace.
