Free Wave System - Nonostante tutto

'70s melodic fusion. Quite good. For fans of Bella Band or Perigeo.

Oh my god, that album cover.  I love it and hate it at the same time.  Speaking of weird covers:

Arena - Immortal (2000)
Genres: Neo-Prog, Prog Rock

It's been a while since I checked out any neo-prog.  I'm not really into it as its typically a bit too poppy to satisfy the prog fan in me, and many of these albums are basically rewriting the same songs with the same style and emotional core and very little variety.  But after checking the genre-tagging on RYM for this one, I'm hoping this will provide a five-star.  So far, I'm loving the progression of the opener, Chosen.  Production's excellent, balance between progressive structures and accessibility is quite good.  Chosen may be my favorite neo-prog song now.  Of course, they DID classify it as a metal song, so maybe that's the case.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Mike Oldfield- Ommadawn

Still kind of new to this album (maybe my third listen so far). It's still growing on me.

Never really "got into" Eno as much as I acknowledged his talents, but Ommadawn to me is a flawless combination of prog and new age.
