Queen or Deep Purple? The hard rock Vu-meter probably favours... Burn?

Burn. Under the Uranian atmosphere one will find numerous driveways and recycle bins.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Interesting poll.
Big Queen fan, but slightly disappointed with Sheer Heart Attack after two stellar albums. Album highlights: Now I'm Here, Killer Queen, Stone Cold Crazy Deep Purple? One name... Glenn Hughes. Gives me chills when he sings "You know we had no time..." Ian Gillan was amazing (his performance on Live In Japan proves it), but bringing in both Coverdale and Hughes to fill the spot was a revelation! They found new energy, and a bit more funk with Hughes' bass. Album highlights: Burn, Mistreated, You Fool No One, Might Just Take Your Life In the end, I went Burn>Sheer |

Sheer Heart Attack - IMO Queen never quite matched those first three albums.

Brighton Rock is not a bad opening track either ![]() Arguably the first 5 albums are all 'stellar'. Queen II though seems to the one that resonates with prog fans for sure.

Sheer Heart Attack. Although the title song "Burn" is probably the best of the 2 albums, there are more songs on Queen's album I think are better compositions.

Really nose to nose so far. My own like-a-lots from both albums:

Sheer Heart Attack, part of the four best Queen albums (I, II, A Night at the Opera) for me. I like Burn, but I like the Queen one much more.
