Edgar Froese > JMJ > Atem > Vangelis
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Quite a few albums I really like here and more that I don't know. I strongly feel like going with Klaus Schulze's Picture Music right now, and so I will. Atem would be my second choice right now.

The first album by the line-up of Froese, Franke and Baumann is overshadowed by its successor, Phaedra, but it's a treasure. The only reason it's not higher in my list is because there are so many classics!

Mark Shreeve. I can't wait to see what I filled out on the census forms before I was born.

Atem used to my favourite Tangerine Dream album. While the magnificent Phaedra was the first Tangerine Dream album I heard (given to me on cassette in 1986 while I was in hospital for a burst appendix as well as Kraftwerk , Echo and the Bunnymen and the Divinyls), I did not much appreciate it at first. When I joined PA I preferred all of the pre-Phaedra albums. Now I love Phaedra as well as various post-Phaedra albums.
