Reale Accademia di Musica was an exceptional band. This footage is impressive to me. Reale Accademia di Musica has not received the recognition it truly deserves, though. The nature of success can often be perplexing; it tends to overlook many deserving artists. Tragically, the remarkable Federico Troyani, who played keyboards for the band, died.

How beautiful is the sound of that flute ... The track that Era di Acquario is performing is Campagne Siciliane, which starts their excellent, yet only, album from 1973.

The anchorman is Renzo Arbore, famous radio DJ who later had a great success on TV guesting high level musicians. He is a jazzist and plays clarinet. In his late years he also had an orchestra but he turned to the Naples traditional melodic genre (something that I hate). Now he's over 80 and retired.
