I was very tempted to vote for The Alarm's Change, which is their masterpiece, but I had to go with The Police's masterpiece, Ghost in the Machine.

This poll includes the last album by The Smiths, so they'll be stepping aside and making way for the Crimson Queen in the fifth poll in the series. Thumbs Up

Same.

I think that Juju is a great album from one of my very favourites. Next comes Echo & the Bunnymen's Ocean Rain, then Cocteau Twins' Victorialand, the The Cure's Pornography and The Smiths.

U2, lots of energy in their playing there. I love Black Sea too.

The fifth Comsat Angels album is rather weak and may *not* win for me. Up until then... Cool
(I do admit there are a few other strong albums here... I like Juju in particular.)

XTC - Black Sea
Simple Minds - Sons & Fascination/Sister Feelings Call
Magazine - Magic, Murder and the Weather
The Police - Ghost in the Machine

Some great albums in these post-punk polls. Very difficult to choose favourites. Smile
