I remember, already have listened to this, and, although some wellknown prog musicians are involved, filed it under 'not enough prog inherited'
will take some time |

Many times I write a sub genre and it ends up in a different one so this is why I write or cause I don't care nor do I want to argue with anybody |

How about providing a bio, some band info, a justification for review?

At a very first listen I don't think it's a fit for neo, but I have to listen more.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

There's a bit of everything: heavy, folk, symph... The track "Greyfeather Part 2" in the chorus has a bit of Ayreon, the acoustic section seems Greg Lake. This track is prog enough, but not the whole album, IMO. Half A Word Away, i.e., apart some signature changes sounds poppy. Maybe Crossover? |

Uwe wasn't joking when he said it would take some time lol! Well, more than five years later, here we are. Greyfeather is a remote, long-distance art-rock collaboration involving members of Cobweb Strange, Farpoint, Iluvatar, IZZ, and Little Atlas, the results of which were recorded over several years, and thousands of miles. The origins of the band date back to the early 2000s, and the project was borne out of a shared deep and abiding affection for music, and a belief in its power of being able to convey emotion in a way that no other artistic medium can. Although their self-titled debut album took a long time to bring to fruition, and various hardships had to be overcome along the way, the album was finally released on February 10, 2017. The collaboration consists of Brian Coralian (Izz) on drums and percussion, Kevin Jarvis (Farpoint) on acoustic guitars & vocals, Steve Katsikas (Little Atlas) on keyboards & vocals, Dennis Mullin (Illuvatar) on electric guitars and Wade Summerlin (Cobweb Strange) on bass & vocals. The 'band' members have never all been in the same room together. Brian Coralian and Wade Summerlin recorded their parts at different times at Kevin Jarvis's studio, and Steve and Dennis recorded their parts at their respective homes and sent the files to him. Despite the method of recording, the participants were well satisfied with how cohesive and organic the whole thing sounded in the end. The album was well received by the music press as well, with several positive reviews being published in the months which followed the release. There is no link to a larger resolution version of that image, since it was pieced together from six separate individual photos on my own computer. These guys have never all been in the same place at the same time to have a proper band photo taken. Greyfeather (2017): 1. Greyfeather Part 1 (2:22) 2. No More (5:51) 3. The Fire (4:16) 4. Bloodstripe (3:52) 5. Greyfeather Part 2 (8:16) 6. Lines Are Drawn (4:44) 7. Life Sonnet #4 (3:11) 8. Half A World Away (5:10) Total Time 37:42 - Kevin Jarvis / acoustic guitar, vocals - Brian Coralian / drums, percussion - Wade Summerlin / bass, vocals - Steve Katsikas / vocals, keyboards - Dennis Mullin / electric guitar Artwork & design by Dennis Mullin CD Starcross Music - SCM-109 (February 10, 2017, USA) Digital album February 10, 2017 As Uwe has already suggested above, this might be a borderline case, but we'll take the suggestion to the Crossover team anyway and see what happens. Other links (Bandcamp, Facebook) in the O.P. Edit: The project is still ongoing, and a new song called "The Dreamer" is apparently due for release sometime this year.
