I love lots of easy-listening music that some here have called muzac. Air is one of my faves that I could put there, but a loungey one I love and want to mention is The Cardigans. I have seem some acerbity directed to The Cardigans cover of Black Sabbath's "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" (not the only time they covered Sabbath). It puts a huge smile on my face.

^ I have that Cardigans album too and love their easy listening lounge version of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, which reminds me of the Mike Flowers Pops. Smile

^ And I too like Mike Flowers Pops.

And I'm reminded of this with Rick Moranis form the Canadian sketch show SCTV that I loved when young. I still sing this "Turning Japanese" version regularly to this day.

From many excellent songs my top 5 would be:

1. This Masquerade
2. Calling Occupants...
3. Goodbye to Love
4. Yesterday Once More
5. Solitaire

I love all of those evergreen Carpenters songs and I'd add these five favourites too to make it a Top 10. Smile

Because We Are in Love (The Wedding Song)
A Kind of Hush
Look to Your Dreams
Now
Hurting Each Other

A dozen + favorite Easy Listening gems:

Nelson Riddle - Sea of Dreams + Love Tide
Ìxtahuele - Dharmaland
Molly Lewis - On the Lips (+her EP's The Forgotten Edge & Mirage)
Sven Libaek - Ron & Val Taylor's Inner Space
Stringtronics - Mindbender
Bergen White - For Women Only
Combustible Edison - I, Swinger + Schizophonic
Soul Flutes - Trust in Me
The Sandpipers - Guantanamera + Softly
Bob Romeo, His Flute and the Jungle Sextet - Music to Play in the Dark
Francis Lai - Un Homme et Une Femme
Harpo Marx - Harpo in Hi-Fi

Also loads and loads of Exotica, but I'm not certain it qualifies. I mean Martin Denny is often more complex and out there than plenty of Prog.

Paul what about a band called Siliton Teens ? (not a band rather a DJ/preoducer )
Recorded one LP around the early 80ies I think
All songs are cheap/+funny synths versions of 60/70 hits or well know songs

I searched for Stilton Teens on YouTube, but all I found was Stilton cheese, so here's a Middle of the Road processed cheesy pop substitute instead.  Smile

Stilton Teens instantly make me think of Thea Sisters. :v

*Notice that Colette is playing the Rickenbacker bass (popular in the Prog circles). :P

Okay, here's Silicon Teens & Twiggy with Let's Dance, although I prefer David Bowie's version in all honesty. Wink

THE BLACK SABBATHS        Easy listening Black Sabbath as you've never heard them before. This is what they'd sound like if Paranoid had been recorded in the 1950's, and Yes, that really is "The Black Sabbaths" on the "album cover". Yeah, Fairies Wear Boots, You gotta believe me, And I tell you no lies. Smile
