The rest of the list of artists with biographies of less than 200 characters (about three lines) as it was at 7th February 2021. I checked all these again just now, and none have yet been improved: :

^^^^ Great job, David!
I only wonder where can we find writers.

^ It's really Julien who we have to thank for these lists. He ran one of his scripts on the database back in February 2021 and sniffed out all the worst biographies (less than 200 characters, or about three lines of text). All I've done now is to separate the results out into their respective subs.
I've taken care of half a dozen or so of the original ones, and will continue to chip away at the Prog Metal ones, since that sub is the worst offender by far. I'm posting the new biographies directly in the Prog Metal team thread, and Cristi updates them almost straight away. Where we will find the writers to take care of the rest of these though, I have absolutely no idea!

^ When I looked at these lists I thought "Oh, David becomes a script-master!" Now it's clear that automation comes from Julien, as usual.

^ Yes, I asked Julien in the E&O thread if he could aim his weapon at our database and find out how many artists we have on the site with less than three lines in their biography. You can view the original results of his investigation from three and a half years ago here, but we never transferred the list over to this section of the forum at the time.
The issue of poor, single line biographies was raised again quite recently in the Prog Metal Team thread, so I thought I'd sort the remaining artists (which was all but about three of them lol!) from Julien's original list into the separate sub genres to make it easy for the team members to find them if they were ever feeling bored and wanted something to do. It was done more in hope than expectation though. Although I'm going to try to bring the Prog Metal list down to something a bit more acceptable over the coming winter, I expect most of these lists will remain largely unaltered until the next ice age arrives!

^ Like one of the famous Russian humourists said, someone's heroism is the irresponsibility of the others.
There were days, at least as it seemed to me, when Prog Metal Team was trying to add more and more acts on PA with minimal attention to the quality of their additions. Now we see the results in the form of 3-line bios here and there. Don't want to throw stones at PMT, it's just my (probably wrong) observation. After all, there is nothing that can't be fixed.

No one from those days is in the current prog-metal team. We've lost three members since I've been in the team. I didn't know there were so many bands with one sentence biographies. I re-wrote a couple a few months ago, two bands I discovered in this state on my own.

It got to the point where there just wasn't the time available for any research to be done into these artist's biographies, so in the end, in an effort to clear the backlog, many were added with just a simple one line statement for a biography. It was nobody's fault, just an unfortunate consequence of the way the new suggestions forum was being abused by several 'serial suggesters' that we had at the time. When the new rules regarding the need for there to be an original biography and an artist photo provided before a suggestion could be followed up were introduced back in March 2020, these serial suggesters all disappeared, so we no longer have the problem. The Prog Metal team these days is much smaller and more efficient at completing its evaluations than it once was in any case. We'll gradually get this list whittled down over the next few months, I'll make sure of that. Edit: Due to difficulties in getting minor typos and other little errors that weren't spotted until after the biographies had been added to the artists' pages fixed, I won't be writing any more of these biographies until such time as the PA admins trust me enough to allow me to access artist pages and edit any minor errors in the biographies myself. Since that isn't likely to happen any time soon, it appears that the list of prog metal artists with less than 200 character biographies will be frozen at 45 for a while.

Apteka
This bio is very strangely written. It's in English but it sometimes uses inflected forms for the Polish proper nouns. Here's my attempt at fixing those errors and cleaning up the wording a little. Polish act APTEKA was founded in Gdynia, Poland in 1983 by Jędrzej "Kodyma" KODYMOWSKI (vocals, guitar) and Maciej BLASIAK (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, trumpet). Until 1987 the band had only been active as a live unit, with a flexible line up of musicians participating in their concert performances. In 1987 Maciej WANAT (drums) joins the outfit, and over the course of the following year, the band is reduced to a duo, with only KODYMOWSKI and WANAT remaining. In 1988 they decide to record their debut album, and in 1990, Big Noise is released. At that point, APTEKA has expanded it's line-up as well, with Janusz SOKOŁOWSKI (guitars) and Marcin CIEMPIEL (bass) joining the outfit. This new line-up soon hits the recording studio, and in 1992 Narkotyki is issued. One year later the album Urojonecałemiasta is released, initially on cassette, although it receives a semi-official CD reissue in 2003 with the title Psychedelic Underground. APTEKA is given a promising record deal by the label SPV Poland, but in 1993, before the work's been completed, drummer WANAT dies tragically in a traffic accident, subsequently ending that particular phase of the formation. One year later, KODYMOWSKI makes the decision to reform APTEKA, joined by Olaf DERIGLASOFF (bass) and Jacek STROMSKI (drums). The albums Menda in follow suit in 1995 and 1996 respectively. Shortly after the release of the latter DERIGLASOFF leaves the band, leading APTEKA to fold once again in 1998, due to not being able to find a new bassist. As the years go by, KODYMOWSKI decides to give APTEKA another go. In 2007 former members Martin CIEMPIEL (bass) and Arthur HAJDASZ (drums) join him to reform the band. The result of their endeavor is the self-titled album APTEKA issued the same year. This line-up folds after the release of the album though, and for the record's promotional tour, later that year, KODYMOWSKI brings in two new members - Janek WITASZEK (bass) and Marcin SŁOMIŃSKI (drums). Currently, the band is on an indefinite hiatus. |

^ Thanks, Marek, done.
I slightly edited your text, added a couple of lines regarding "Urojonecałemiasta" album and changed the band's website on PA page. Please let me know if something's wrong. It also looks like Psychedelic Underground is an illegal issue and has to be deleted. More info on "Urojonecałemiasta" album versions can be found on Discogs.
