For me it's the other way around. These are my two favourite bands after Rush. These two bands have released studio albums the same year 4 times, with 2007 being the last time that happened. Three times in the 90's as well.
FOABP was a tough nut to crack for yours truly, and it wasn't until hearing this album performed live in Toronto that it clicked.
I don't have much to add other than maybe Mar De Robles from Chile and their "Indigena" record. King Crimson heavy that one.

I've never been a big fan of FOABP, I don't even know why, after all it's not a bad album. So it was not the obvious choice for me in any way. 

I need to re-visit when i have the time. So much music, so little time.
