Maybe this is old news. Seems to be a thing for pop stars to be moving into other genres. Like Beyoncé going Country…

Whoa! Crazy. Back in the day I laughed at Beliebers saying something like: "If Justin Bieber is such talented songwriter and composer, and skilled at so many instrument, he should prove it by making a progressive rock album".

Miley just may pull it off. She's pretty trippy. I wish we could find out her choice of musicians.

Well, what Miley has that Beiber does not is a good singing VOICE. We'll see.

Agreed... I happen to have a bit of respect for her as a singer. Especially now that she has 'Matured' since wrecking ball hopefully. I wish Shakira would make a prog record too. I could get behind that... |

I am guessing she'll work with the Flaming Lips again or, at least, Wayne Coyne. |

If Taylor Swift can do a ten minute song that goes to number one then Miley Cyrus can do a Pink Floydish album. The big question, however, would be which era of Pink Floyd will she tackle? I can't see her singing a song about a guy stealing women's underwear for example.

The article mentions a spinoff of “the wall” but I’d like to see her do see Emily play or astronomy domine , careful with that axe Eugene. She would be boner-fide cool if she could swing those songs lol.

I'd love to hear her tackle 'Great Gig in the Sky'.

She has done covers of Pink Floyd.
But it would be interesting to see her tackling a Pink Floyd-like album of original material. I think a Wall-like concept album of a jaded female pop singer would make sense. |

Hi, Honestly, I think this is bad ... Miley obviously knows PF well, and singing bits and pieces is nice to connect with older members of her audience, but ... the connection and article, is bad and sad ... so you and I have inspiration from Shakespeare ... and the same magazine doesn't care ... but it will use the name PF ... BECAUSE IT SELLS ... and makes MC look like a commercial star doing the songs the media now OWNS! I'm not sure that setting up expectations for anyone is fair ... and worse, for the media to take advantage of the names to sell it's product ... and we fall for it ... it doesn't matter to me if Miley does PF or T. S. Eliot ... or someone else ... It's like none of us can have any inspirations other than the famous ones ... the whole thing is so pathetic! This type of white noise is sickening, making sure we stay subservient to the commercial ideals! SIDE NOTE: Based on her birthday, btw, I doubt that we will even "recognize" the connection to PF ... like many folks with that date for a birthday, their independence is the most important part of it all ... and she might do a small part or so in the shows, but what she will do in her own album, is another matter altogether and I doubt we will think or recognize anything, other than, maybe, a loud bunch of keyboards in her band!

Haha . I was not aware of these! Thanks for posting them. Her country twang makes it all a little odd but it’s not bad.. Hopefully one day she can do ‘Mushroom Head’ by CAN. Edited by Valdez - 2 hours 34 minutes ago at 07:32 |

Hi, Her country twang in these is interesting, and not bad at all ... though I think she will not exactly sound like that on her own album, unless it is intentional and the album is very much a country album ... I don't think she will do a country album, though I imagine that she might "twang it" if she is singing this in Nashville ... but I do not think she will "twang it" in LA or NY at all! Doing CAN ... oh my word ... though I think that something from "Ege Bamyasi" would be more interesting. "Pinch" would be my choice ... but I think that she is more about the lyrics, than she would be about anything that CAN did, though. Enjoyed that thought though ... wild to say the least!
