John Sykes. Such a great and fluid guitarist and strong vocalist, too. Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, and Blue Murder. He influenced an entire generation of guitar players with interesting riffs and melodic music. Rest in peace.

According to the notes, this is one of Garth's last times playing. The caregivers encouraged him to play, and the video was shot by his cousin. Garth wanted to play that day for them. The songs he sings are hymns from his childhood that he remembered. A precious recording to have. May God Bless you, Garth.

You're most welcome. It is moving. My grandfather did something similar when he was Garth's age. He would just, without prompting, begin singing these old Irish songs that his parents used to sing, from his childhood. And this was a guy who was NOT an artsy guy. On the contrary, he was a gruff, prickly guy as a young man, but he found comfort in music late in life. Music is a powerful connection.
