Please vote for the one you want. Hopefully voting for one of these bands won't have disastrous consequences.
I also like ELP, Kansas, Jethro Tull, Gentle Giant, Camel, VDGG, Marillion and Porcupine Tree but those make my top 12 and not top five.

My choice is Yes based on their entire catalog, though their are a few later albums that don't quite measure up. For being consistently interesting with true prog adventure, I'd give the title to King Crimson.

Only King Crimson are in my top 5.
Then Pink Floyd, possibly in my Top 10. Genesis and Yes possibly in my Top 30. Rush arent in my Top 50.

It's between King Crimson and Pink Floyd for me as my clear favourites from the list. King Crimson is the one that gets more attention from me these days and gets my vote.

Should have picked other as none of them are my favorite band but I picked King Crimson as they are top 5 followed by Pink Floyd who are top 10. Genesis and Yes would be next but they are more like top 50.

You don't consider Porcupine Tree to be modern prog? Compared to the others they are.

Hard to choose, but from this group I tend to listen to Genesis more than the others, thus voted accordingly. I have a very low albedo and a featureless reddish spectrum.

Voted for Floyd, but only very narrowly over Genesis.
I also voted that none are in my top 5, although I’m not sure either are definitely in my top 10. Rush might be top 20. Yes top 50 maybe? King Crimson I don’t know enough of to say…. My top 5 are IQ, It Bites, Dream Theater, Ayreon and Frost*😎 |

King Crimson might be in my Prog Rock top five, but that would be a crowded top five if I ever tried to make one. Pink Floyd is somwhere up there as well. I love a lot of Genesis too, but I don't love a lot of Genesis as well.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson
