you know this cover?

1st Black Sabbath cover

many crows, red ambientation, very spectral place, right?

I've found yesterday this link http://users.skynet.be/sky19290/proginfos/blacksabbathinfos. htm

I'm very very surprised how a (really good) photographer can change the appearence of a very calm place

anyway this is the same place:

incredible!

anyway, the author is Marcus Keef, my favorite cover artist, and I created a list with all his work at http://rateyourmusic.com

you can see it here: http://rateyourmusic.com/lists/list_view?list_id=21330, but you must create an accout (for free, no spam and absolutly no spot, don't worry!) to see RateYourMusic pages, otherwise you get only a single alphanumerical line, so go at home page http://rateyourmusic.com

goodbye

    that pic freaks me out...
This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality.
Embrace this moment. Remember. We are eternal.
All this pain is an illusion.

I think he acknowledges the bands talent but doesn't like the music, either that, or he is on drugs.

a brilliant album and a brilliant album cover. NIB, Black Sabbath, Wicked World and The Wizard are incredible.

This album cover is very gloomy and amazing at representing the music of the album. The worlds first major venture into heavy metal is given a classic cover. Most of his over work was good too but i love this cover.

Does anyone feel that this album cover has a very big influence on the artwork of opeth? Another BS influence i have noticed are the tracks Embryo and Orchid from Master of Reality.
not only the first use of acoustic/strings interludes on a heavy metal album which opeth are also famous for but opeths debut album is also taken from the name of one of these interludes.
