BRASS MONKEY It's brass monkey weather outside today, so why not stay inside and keep warm with the psychedelic sounds of Brass Monkey, an album of cover versions to listen to under the covers. ![]() Some say, the enormous cost of running a gas boiler to keep warm at today's prices is a bit like burning money, so let's find out with the Top Gear Team in their latest challenge. ![]() Edited by Psychedelic Paul - February 10 2024 at 09:11 |

BREAKTHRU A Brummie band who never quite managed to get their big breakthrough, having last been seen trying to navigate their way around Birmingham's Spaghetti Junction on Adventure's Highway - better-known to us all as the Aston Expressway. ![]() ![]() ![]() Grieg Lake - The Story of Peer Gynt

BRIGADE A band and album buried so deep Underground that they're virtually unknown even in their native Portland, Oregon. Apparently there are only 100 vinyl copies of the album in existence after having their recording contract terminated, but Brigade had the last laugh though, winning Portland's Battle of the Bands with first prize of a Cadillac hearse - just like the one Neil Young used to drive. ![]() ![]() Meanwhile, Mr Bean has the last laugh as an extra with a German army brigade. ![]() Edited by Psychedelic Paul - February 13 2024 at 06:18 |

BRIGG An obscure band from the town of Danville, Pennsylvania, who recorded one self-titled album on the equally obscure Susquehanna label. Brigg's independently-spirited band members said their album wasn't created for commercial gain, which is just as well, bearing in mind its limited pressing quickly disappeared without trace. although, in common with many albums buried deep in the psychedelic underground from over half a century ago, it's now been unearthed and given a well-deserved new lease of life on the Internet. ![]() ![]() Brigg - New Found Rain (from a new found band) ![]() Edited by Psychedelic Paul - February 13 2024 at 06:34 |

BRUCE HAMANA Not a native Australian, but a native American who went to San Francisco with dreams of earning heap big money in white man's world. Bruce Hamana's only album is chock full of Brucie bonuses (although there's nothing for a pair) which I'd gladly buy if the price is right. Nice to hear him, to hear him nice. BUBBLE PUPPY A psychedelic band from San Antonio, Texas - the site of The Alamo. Do you remember The Alamo? It's where batty Ozzy Osbourne was arrested for offending the entire state of Texas by taking a "comfort break" there whilst dressed in his wife's green evening dress. ![]() Ozzy Osbourne :- "I was doing so much coke and so much booze that in the end I'd do something stupid". ![]() Edited by Psychedelic Paul - February 19 2024 at 09:49 |

BULBOUS CREATION Somewhere deep in the heart of Kansas, there's something brewing in the unassuming suburb of Prairie Village.... You Won't Remember Dying and you may not remember this album either, but if you like heavy, mind-bending psychedelia wrapped up in a jabberwocky full of surreal lyrics and gratuitous guitar solos, then you've come to the right place. ![]() Edited by Psychedelic Paul - February 18 2024 at 12:18 |

BUZZY LINHART An obscure American singer, actor and vibraphonist with an obscure prog connection, having featured Welsh band Eyes of Blue as backing musicians on his first album "Buzzy", Eyes of Blue were said to be an early influence on an up-and coming young band named Mabel Greer's Toyshop, who later became YES! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by Psychedelic Paul - April 04 2024 at 09:21 |

C.A. QUINTET Hell's fire and funeral pyres? No, Trip Thru' Hell is more like church spires and heavenly choirs! C.A. Quintet were a mysterious band from the twin cities of Minneapolis/St.Paul, having sold less than 500 copies of their original unique-sounding album back in the late sixties. This ultra-rare album has since become the "Holy Grail" amongst serious collectors of obscure sixties psychedelia, no doubt selling for a king's ransom now. ![]() |

CALLIOPE Calliope is the beautiful Greek Muse who presides over eloquence and epic poetry, although you won't hear much of that from this Seattle-based psych band - just good old-fashioned fuzzy guitars and 4X4 stars and bars. Who needs Nirvana when you've got this, although grunge fans are probably steaming at the ears now. ![]() ![]() |

CAMEL The best Anglo-Italian band you've never heard, although if any Camel fans bought this album expecting to hear Andy Latimer's soaring guitar solos, then they may be left asking, Where is My Mind? Under Age is an album jam-packed full of great cover versions, sounding like the British version of Vanilla Fudge, only twice as sweet. ![]() Edited by Psychedelic Paul - February 28 2024 at 02:18 |
