Yes, two minutes sounds more than long enough for me for a 1-star rated album, especially in the case of Rap (with a capital "C") and the outer limits of Extreme Metal.

1989 - The year I got married and the best Cure album released, which is of course:

Why do I get the feeling that none of those five albums would appeal to me? I feel it more likely they would appal me.

By the way, Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe won that 1989 prog poll easily with 11 votes, so no surprise there, although Tears for Fears picked up a very respectable five votes too.

^Alhough a couple of your two stars and Tears For Fears are alright, nothing on that list comes anywhere near a personal top thousand. To me the music of the late 1980's early 1990's isn't about prog at all.

Not the best year in music that's for sure, but for a former* metalhead this is where it was at: Sepultura - Beneath the Remains Bolt Thrower - Realm of Chaos Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness Annihilator - Alice in Hell Coroner - No More Color Kreator - Extreme Aggression Obituary - Slowly We Rot Voivod - Nothingface Pestilence - Consuming Impulse Carcass - Symphonies of Sickness *I haven't stopped liking these, but I don't really sit at home and listen to Slowly We Rot anymore:)

I've noticed while on RYM, it's a very popular and high-rated album.

That's just one of nine albums in this poll I wouldn't want to repeat.

The Sensual World is alright. Good even. But a little too mature or polished and not eccentric enough for me to be among my go-to Kate Bush albums. And it was never part of my youth, like those other three albums were. Aerial is a much better "background music"-album imo (I prefer 50 Words For Snow over this as well).
